The up and down nature of life can bring excitement and difficulty. In challenging times, we can feel stuck, helpless, scared, sad, anxious, alone, and often confused. These hard moments lead us to seek support, which can be the first and hardest step towards healing. I am passionate in helping my clients work through the challenges they face by building judgement free relationships centered on trust, hope, and safety. My approach with clients is rooted in resilience and the belief that everyone has the ability to overcome the challenges they face in school, work, relationships, and life.
I am a LCMHCA with a passion for working with individuals in every stage of life. As a spouse and parent myself, I aspire to work with adults, adolescents, and parents searching for more adaptive ways to overcome challenges. I also have a background in education, working in schools as a teacher and counselor. Thus, I am well-versed in working with middle and high school aged individuals and their families facing a variety of academic, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. While I tailor my approach to fit the needs of each client, I typically work from a cognitive, strength-based, and solution-focused approach that is developmentally appropriate in nature.
It takes tremendous amounts of strength and courage to seek help as it’s often accompanied by change. Change is scary, beautiful, and necessary in accomplishing goals and prioritizing yourself. I invite you to take the first steps in overcoming whatever you feel has you “stuck.” I work on a beautiful farm giving you the opportunity to sit or walk through nature, interact with animals, or meet in cozy indoor spaces. This begins your journey of growth so you can thrive in the ups and downs of life.
