My work is informed by this truth: Life is difficult and facing its challenges requires courage and connection. I strive to create an environment of non-judgment where thoughts and feelings can be expressed, issues can be explored, and values can be acted on. Asking for help can be awkward, but I view it as a strength that often opens the door to relief, problem-solving, and transformation. Each day I witness how counseling helps individuals navigate predictable life-stages as well as unexpected crises. And I see that healing, growth, and meaning are within reach for all.
I work with adults, adolescents, and couples to address depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship/communications issues. My style blends caring, common sense, and evidence based practices with the goal of improving mood, deepening relationships, and building coping skills to flourish.
My favorite definition of mental health is to learn how to get our needs met. In fact, denying that we have needs is where we often go astray. So I’m inviting you to take a step toward becoming better version of yourself. I work in a farm-based setting because it gives you the choice to meet indoors, to sit or walk in nature, or to interact with animals.
